What Pilots are saying about our cases
Absolutely thrilled with it! Used it navigating in 29 degrees Celsius in a small 4 seater A/C for Search and Rescue. Two and a half hours and it used minimal power from my battery pack. I could feel how cool it was sitting in my lap. I thought it might have felt bulky - but not at all.
I’ve purchased two of these cooling mounts and they perform flawlessly. I’ll always have it working for me, especially in the hot weather. You can’t beat the performance and reliability.
This is my second X-naut case. First one was made obsolete by Apple changing the dimensions of their iPads. If you plan on updating your iPad anytime soon, make sure you buy your new iPad first. Just like my first X-naut it works flawlessly and you won’t get the screen of death during a critical phase of flight.
I’ve been flying quite a bit this August and September with days well over 100 and I had no problems. I wish it were a little less bulky but I suppose that’s for cooling.
I installed the XNaut cooling case with some RAM accessories as soon as it hit the market - and the only time I've had problems since is when I have left the iPad in the plane and neglected to cover the screen with a light cloth during lunch on a sunny day. So do remember to cover the screen if you leave it in the cockpit - though the forced air of the XNaut will, thankfully, cool the iPad down rapidly on startup and allow it to resume operation.
